Lynn Bowling- Director
Lynn’s animal control career began in January 2006 with Granville County Animal Control. She received training in animal handling, animal behavior assessment, animal welfare and cruelty investigations, all three (3) levels of the National Animal Control Association academy, dog fighting investigations, report writing, shelter management and contagious disease control. She is also a Certified Euthanasia Technician and Certified Rabies Vaccinator.
Lynn has built a relationship with many animal rescues over the years. In her off-duty hours she may be found helping a rescue or personally taking in animals to rehome. Her passion for animals stems from being raised on her family’s horse farm, Cash Farms, near Louisburg, where there was always an abundance of a variety of animals.
As the Director, Lynn is responsible for the overall operations of Franklin County Animal Services and is dedicated to keeping the public safe from stray, aggressive and diseased animals in addition to providing the best care possible for the animals in the shelter. She also plans to continue working with rescues in efforts to rehome the animals in the shelter. She encourages the citizens of Franklin County to come to the shelter and adopt an animal in need.
