We Will Remember Them

John Derek Gupton,
Oct. 12, 1989 – Sept. 16, 2014

John Derek Gupton, 24, died while responding to a fire call with the Justice Volunteer Fire Department. John was a member of Duke Memorial Baptist Church and a member of the Justice Volunteer Fire Department. John received the Order of Arrow in the Boy Scouts and graduated from Bunn High School in 2008.

 

 

Ted Horton
May 14th, 2004
 

Deputy Ted Horton was killed in a helicopter crash while he and the pilot conducted a narcotics search over a wooded area near Louisburg, NC.

The helicopter, a TH-55, experienced mechanical problems during the flight and crashed. Deputy Horton, who was an observer during the flight, was killed.

Mark Edward Tober
June 23rd, 1999
 

After many years of service to Franklin County law enforcement Mark Tober died on June 23, 1999.
